Help us create a permanent home for engaging and inspiring our community. Building on our nearly 40 years of work to uplift youth and heal our community, ArtEsteem launched the Cultivating Heart Space Capital Campaign in March 2026 for a new building at 3115 West Street!

A new art studio & classroom at 3115 West Street will allow us to expand ArtEsteem’s creative programs. It will stand alongside the recently remodeled 3111 West Street building that is used for administrative staff and smaller community programs, meetings, & events.

At an estimated budget of $5m, this new building will…

  • Double participation in school-based programs by expanding staff capacity and reach.

    1,750 students at 15 sites → 3,500 students at 30 sites

  • Grow weekly participation in on-site programs that rely on immersive, well-equipped creative space.

    20 students → 100 students & community members

We selected Designing Justice + Designing Spaces as our 3115 West Street architects.

DJDS is a Bay Area-based architecture and real estate development social enterprise working to end mass incarceration by building the infrastructure that addresses its root causes: poverty, racism, unequal access to resources, and the criminal justice system itself.
