Leaf Greeting Card V2
This greeting card was designed during the 2022-2023 school year through an environmental arts and merchandise creation unit in Lead Teaching Artist Etty Alberto’s West Oakland Middle School 6th grade class.
To lay the groundwork in designing surface patterns, Etty guided students in creating cyanotypes, radials composed of leaf relief prints, leaf collages, and watercolor and pastel paintings created with abstract patterns. These lessons provided an artistic foundation as the students learned product development and visual merchandising, creating relief prints, texture prints, and silkscreen prints that informed icons and patterns with a cohesive color palette.
The result of the students’ efforts is the WOMS Living Collection, a colorful and dynamic variety of three-dimensional home goods.

• Size: 4″ × 6″ (101 × 152 mm)
